What do you build with?
Usually React with a Node or Python backend on managed hosting. If your team already maintains a stack, we build in that instead — the best technology here is the one your people can hire for.
Can you take over an app someone else built?
Yes, and it’s a good share of this work. It starts with a technical audit so you know what you’ve inherited before anyone commits to a scope.
What does ‘management’ actually cover?
Monitoring and uptime, dependency and security updates, bug fixes within an agreed response time, and a small budget of changes each month. Bigger features get quoted separately so the retainer stays predictable.
Do we have to take the retainer?
No. Plenty of clients hand the code to their own developers, which is exactly why we document and train. The retainer exists for teams who don’t have that person.
How do you price a build you haven’t scoped?
We don’t. Anything past a small tool starts with a paid scoping phase that produces a fixed number. A quote given before scoping is a guess with a decimal point.
