Why we exist

Strategy isn’t a workshop.

It’s a decision.

Most brand strategy documents are a summary of what everyone already believed, written in nicer language. Useful strategy closes doors: it says who you’re not for and what you won’t claim.

“We sound like everyone else in our category.”

Because you’re all claiming the same three things. The work is finding the claim only you can make and being willing to lose the others.

“Every department describes us differently.”

No agreed position underneath. Cheap to fix, expensive to leave alone.

“We’ve added products and the story doesn’t hold.”

That’s brand architecture — how the parts relate and what gets its own name.

“We know who buys but not why.”

Customer interviews. It’s the least glamorous part of this work and the part that changes the most.

A good fit if

✓ You can name a real business decision this has to inform

✓ You’re willing to stop claiming something you currently claim

Probably not if

You want validation of a position already chosen
Nobody will sign off without a committee vote
You need visuals next week and strategy is a formality
The product itself is the problem

Questions people ask before they call
Brand strategy decides what you claim and to whom. Marketing strategy decides which channels carry it and what you spend. We do the first, and we’ll write the brief the second one needs.
If you’re early and pre-revenue, sometimes a well-made identity is enough to start. Past that, designing without a position means the designer picks one for you by accident.
Eight to twelve conversations of thirty minutes, run by us, with your customers and ideally two who chose someone else. The lost deals are usually the most useful half hour of the project.
Good — that disagreement is the actual project. Our job is to surface it early with evidence rather than let it resurface at the identity presentation.
Yes, as an add-on. It runs alongside positioning and includes shortlisting, trademark pre-screening with your lawyer, and domain checks before you fall for anything.
